Laser Technology for Wrinkles, Scars, Stretch Marks, and Skin Resurfacing

At Stuart B. Kipper, MD and Associates, we know that years of exposure to the sun, injuries, and other harsh environmental factors can lead to fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and loss of elasticity.  Acne scarring, surgical scars, and stretch marks from common yet frequent conditions such as aging, weight fluctuations and pregnancy can affect our skin’s health and appearance as well. All of these bothersome issues can be treated effectively with our fractional non-ablative 1540 laser. In just a few short treatment sessions, you will see results in both tone and texture of your skin, leaving your skin feeling and looking new again.

How does it work?

Our fractional 1540 laser delivers pulses of energy, in a scientifically predetermined pattern, to the areas and the depth of skin responsible for wrinkles, scar tissue, stretch marks, crepiness, and other issues related to skin texture. It does NOT burn the skin off as do other lasers and deep medical chemical treatments. There is no oozing, scabbing, or significant down time. Treatments result in microscopic stimulation of underlying tissue and renewed collagen production in the skin. Over time, there is a firming up of laxity, resurfacing of uneven texture and pigment, and repair of prior complexion injuries leading to a healthier and more radiant appearance.

What to expect:

Treatments for these conditions can require 2-8 sessions, dependent upon a patient’s individual concerns. Sessions often take as little as 30 minutes. The skin may require treatment with a mild topical anesthetic, or the use of our Nitronox unique light sedation system to provide the most comfortable experience possible. Clients often compare the treatment to having a mild “snapping” sensation or to a mild sunburn, but most feel nothing at all. You may experience some redness and mild swelling after your treatment that typically resolves within 3-5 days.

We always encourage a dedicated regimen of skin care after your treatment for indefinite maintenance of a healthy and beautiful complexion.  Dr. Kipper and his staff are happy to assist you with the regimen that will work best for you.
